Director of Accounting – South Florida

Our client is a utility located in Southern Florida.  Our client is looking for a Director of Accounting to lead all accounting for the company's utility operations and regulated entities.  The Director of Accounting will be responsible for all financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and FERC.  Experience with FERC is required.  The Director will oversee a team to support all accounting operations, including but not limited to AP, AR, GL, Reporting, Budgeting, Payroll, Audit,s etc.  The Director must be able to hire and mentor his staff for professional growth.  Knowledge of ERP Systems is required (SAP is preferred).  Email resume to sflaherty@daleyaa.com.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA preferred
  • 10+ years Accounting Management Experience
  • Utility experience
  • FERC Experience
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to drive mentor and train a team of accounting professionals
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Base salary is $165,000 to $175,000
  • Bonus is available
