About Benzinga

Benzinga is a leading financial media and data company that helps investors, traders, and financial professionals make better decisions. Millions of users rely on Benzinga every month for real-time market news, insights, and education across stocks, ETFs, crypto, and macro trends.

Benzinga partners with many of the most recognizable brands in financial services — including brokerages, fintech platforms, ETF issuers, asset managers, exchanges, and consumer finance companies — helping them tell their story and build trust with a highly engaged retail investor audience.

We are building a focused, performance-driven sales organization and are looking for senior sellers who can own brand relationships, drive narrative-based campaigns, and unlock meaningful brand marketing budgets.

The Role

The Director of Brand Partnerships is a senior individual-contributor role focused on driving revenue through brand marketing partnerships. This person will work directly with marketing leaders to develop and sell high-impact, narrative-driven campaigns that position clients in front of Benzinga's retail investor audience.

The role is centered on selling brand dollars, not performance — including sponsored content (articles and video), executive interviews, brand storytelling, integrated campaigns, and event-based activations.

This is ideal for a seller who understands how brands allocate marketing budgets, how to position content and media as a strategic lever, and how to close multi-touch, multi-month brand partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Ownership & Deal Execution

  • Own and deliver against a significant annual revenue quota focused on brand and content-driven revenue
  • Source, develop, and close integrated marketing partnerships end-to-end
  • Package and sell solutions including:
    • Sponsored content articles
    • Sponsored video and executive interviews
    • Brand storytelling campaigns
    • Newsletter and homepage integrations
    • Creative sponsorships and brand activations
  • Negotiate pricing, packaging, and long-term partnership agreements
  • Close mid-market to enterprise-level brand deals, including six-figure campaigns

Brand Partnerships & Account Development

  • Build and grow relationships with:
    • Marketing leaders (CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Brand Directors)
    • Growth and acquisition teams
    • Agencies and media buyers
  • Target key financial verticals including:
    • Fintech and investing apps
    • Brokerages and trading platforms
    • ETF issuers and asset managers
    • Crypto and emerging financial platforms
    • Consumer finance brands
  • Target non-endemics looking to get their story in front of retail investors
  • Position Benzinga as a trusted media partner for brand storytelling and investor education
  • Drive repeat business through always-on content programs and recurring campaigns

Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of brand marketing opportunities
  • Prospect into both direct brands and agencies
  • Identify companies actively investing in awareness (e.g., launches, raises, new products)
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets driven by brand and content partnerships
  • Closing multi-product, multi-month campaigns (articles + video + distribution + activations)
  • Building long-term relationships with marketing teams and agencies
  • Driving repeat revenue through always-on sponsored content programs
  • Establishing Benzinga as a go-to partner for retail investor-facing brand campaigns

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • Media sales
    • Digital advertising
    • Branded content or sponsorship sales
    • Financial services or fintech marketing/sales
  • Proven track record of closing deals and hitting quota
  • Experience selling content-driven or brand-led marketing solutions
  • Strong ability to engage senior marketing stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing full sales cycle from prospecting to close

Preferred

  • Experience selling sponsored content, video, or integrated media campaigns
  • Familiarity with how brands allocate brand vs. performance budgets
  • Existing relationships with:
    • Financial services marketing teams
    • Fintech companies
    • Agencies and media buyers
  • Experience closing six-figure+ partnerships

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • On-target earnings aligned with senior-level brand sales performance
  • Benefits package and growth opportunities
    • (Exact comp to be determined based on experience.)
