About the Opportunity
Broadstaff is seeking a
Director of Business Development - Data Center Services on behalf of a leading national infrastructure and technology services organization.
This opportunity is ideal for a highly connected sales professional with experience selling into the
data center, hyperscale, AI, cloud, colocation, and mission-critical infrastructure markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding market presence throughout the Midwest.
This is a true hunter role focused on generating new business, developing key accounts, and strengthening relationships with data center operators, hyperscale providers, contractors, construction managers, and industry partners.
What You'll Do
- Drive sales growth across the Midwest data center market.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans focused on new and existing accounts.
- Build relationships with hyperscale providers, AI platforms, cloud operators, colocation providers, and enterprise clients.
- Engage with general contractors, electrical contractors, engineering firms, consultants, and technology partners.
- Identify and pursue opportunities involving data center construction, expansions, upgrades, and Day 2 deployments.
- Partner with estimating, operations, and project teams to develop winning customer solutions.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and networking functions.
- Travel throughout the region to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.

Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of business development experience within data center, hyperscale, cloud, AI, telecommunications, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Established relationships with data center operators, developers, contractors, and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Experience selling project-based services rather than hardware or software alone.
- Strong understanding of data center environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, low-voltage systems, security, DAS, and related technologies.
- Experience navigating GC-led, CM-led, and owner-direct opportunities.
- Ability to work effectively across sales, operations, estimating, and project management teams.
