Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Business Development (M&A) for a rapidly growing healthcare organization dedicated to expanding access to high-quality care through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. This is a fully remote opportunity based in the United States with monthly travel to support business development efforts and market engagement.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development leader to drive an organization's growth strategy through acquisitions, partnerships, and market expansion. The Director of Business Development (M&A) will identify and cultivate acquisition opportunities, develop long-term industry relationships, and lead transactions from initial outreach through closing. This highly visible role partners closely with executive leadership and plays a key role in shaping the organization's long-term growth strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute market expansion strategies by identifying priority markets and acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition targets while cultivating long-term relationships with business owners, advisors, brokers, and investment bankers.
  • Evaluate new opportunities, conduct market research, and prioritize strategic growth initiatives.
  • Lead acquisition transactions from initial outreach through letters of intent, due diligence, negotiation, and closing while coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align business development activities with organizational growth objectives.
  • Serve as the primary external representative for acquisition and partnership opportunities while strengthening the organization's reputation as a preferred strategic partner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategic business development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing acquisition opportunities.
  • Strong financial analysis, strategic planning, and business development skills.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation abilities with executive stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to travel regularly to develop market relationships and support acquisition activities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive base salary of $200,000-$250,000 plus a 25% annual bonus opportunity, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) and pension plan with a 4% employer contribution, 15 days of paid time off, and the flexibility of a fully remote work environment with regular travel to support strategic growth initiatives.
