Director of Business Systems and AI

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Business Systems & AI to lead the development and execution of a company-wide technology strategy that supports construction operations and real estate development initiatives. This highly visible leadership role serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, aligning technology investments with business objectives to drive efficiency, transparency, and growth.

The Director of Business Systems & AI will design, implement, and optimize enterprise systems while championing AI initiatives, workflow automation, and data-driven decision-making. This individual will bridge the gap between business operations and technology, ensuring seamless integration across accounting, estimating, purchasing, project management, document management, and executive reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals and operational priorities

• Lead the selection, implementation, integration, and ongoing optimization of enterprise business systems and platforms

• Drive AI strategy, workflow automation initiatives, and process improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency

• Oversee ERP systems, software applications, and data integrations to ensure a connected and scalable technology environment

• Establish data governance practices and deliver analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting that support strategic decision-making

• Partner with leaders across construction, development, finance, and operations to identify technology opportunities and solve business challenges

• Lead change management efforts, including user adoption strategies, training programs, and ongoing support initiatives

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve performance, visibility, and business outcomes

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in business systems, enterprise technology, digital transformation, or related leadership roles

• Proven experience leading enterprise system implementations, integrations, and technology strategy initiatives

• Strong understanding of ERP platforms, business applications, data architecture, and systems integration

• Experience developing and implementing AI, automation, and process optimization solutions within business environments

• Demonstrated success creating executive reporting frameworks, analytics solutions, and data-driven decision support tools

• Experience supporting construction, engineering, real estate development, or project-based organizations is strongly preferred

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change management capabilities with experience influencing executive stakeholders
