BettingJobs is working with a fast-growing US facing sweepstakes and social casino brand looking to hire a Director of Casino Operations. This role can be remote based and relevant sweepstakes/social casino and US market exposure is required.

The Opportunity:

The Director of Casino Operations is responsible for the day-to-day commercial performance of the brand. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role owns the operational and commercial execution of the casino, including game performance, supplier relationships, player experience, promotional effectiveness, and cross-functional execution.

This individual will serve as a key operating partner to the General Manager, helping drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence across the business. Success requires strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of online gaming, and a passion for creating exceptional player experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Performance

  • Own key casino performance metrics including revenue, engagement, retention, player value, redemption behavior, and bonus efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, player experience, and long-term customer value.
  • Partner with Analytics to evaluate performance trends and support business planning.

Content & Supplier Management

  • Manage relationships with game providers, aggregators, platform vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Optimize game portfolio performance, content strategy, and supplier economics.
  • Evaluate new providers, technologies, and partnerships that enhance the player experience or improve commercial performance.

Player Experience & Operations

  • Own the end-to-end operating experience of the casino.
  • Identify and remove friction across onboarding, payments, promotions, gameplay, customer support, and redemptions.
  • Partner with Product, Payments, Risk, VIP, CRM, and Customer Support teams to improve key player journeys.

Strategic Growth & Partnerships

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, player engagement, and commercial performance.
  • Evaluate new vendors, technologies, and strategic initiatives that support the long-term growth of the business.
  • Support commercial negotiations and investment decisions with suppliers and partners.

Leadership

  • Act as a trusted operating partner to the General Manager.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Establish accountability and operating discipline across the business.
  • Help build the operating foundation required to support future growth.

Success in the First 12 Months

  • Improve key commercial KPIs across revenue, retention, engagement, and profitability.
  • Establish stronger visibility into supplier performance and casino economics.
  • Improve player experience across onboarding, payments, gameplay, and redemptions.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen the product and operating model.
  • Become a key member of the leadership team and a trusted advisor to the General Manager.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in online casino, iGaming, sportsbook, social casino, sweepstakes, or related digital gaming businesses.
  • Strong understanding of gaming economics, player behavior, retention, and promotional strategy.
  • Experience managing external vendors, suppliers, or commercial partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success improving business performance through data-driven decision making.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working for a leading online casino, iGaming, sweepstakes, or social casino operator.
  • Experience managing game providers, aggregators, and platform partnerships.
  • Experience influencing commercial P&L performance.
  • Experience evaluating payments, loyalty, CRM, fraud, or engagement technologies.
  • Experience operating in a growth-stage or scaling business.

Candidate Profile:

  • You are a commercially minded operator who enjoys building and improving businesses.
  • You are equally comfortable reviewing KPIs, negotiating with suppliers, evaluating new opportunities, and leading cross-functional initiatives. You understand the balance between player experience and commercial performance and know how to translate strategy into execution.
