    JOB OVERVIEW

    The Missouri Athletic Club is seeking an experienced Director of Catering to lead our catering and event operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive hospitality experience, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating exceptional events and member experiences. This will be a full-time position. Hours will vary based on business needs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and develop the catering team while maintaining exceptional service standards.

    • Oversee the planning and execution of weddings, banquets, meetings, luncheons, and other social events.

    • Work directly with members and clients to coordinate event details and ensure a seamless experience.

    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage team on menus, pricing, staffing, and event execution.

    • Oversee event budgets, billing, labor, and other operational needs.

    • Conduct BEO meetings and coordinate event details across departments.

    • Build strong relationships with members and clients while identifying opportunities to grow catering and event business.

    • Maintain high standards for event quality, presentation, and overall guest satisfaction.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor''s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.

    • Three or more years of catering, event, or hospitality experience, including management or supervisory experience.

    • Private club or upscale hospitality experience preferred.

    • Club Management Association of America (CMAA) membership preferred.

    • Certified Wedding Planner (CWP) certification preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Strong leadership and team development skills.

    • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.

    • Knowledge of catering operations, event planning, budgeting, and banquet service.

    • Ability to build strong relationships with members, clients, and internal teams.

    • Professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional service.

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
