Job Title: Director of Clinical Nutrition Department: Dietary Reports to: COO/CNO
York General is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Clinical Nutrition Services to lead and advance our clinical nutrition program. This leadership position serves as the organization's clinical nutrition expert and is responsible for overseeing nutrition assessment, medical nutrition therapy, regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, program development, and nutrition education across the continuum of care.
This role works collaboratively with physicians, nursing leadership, therapy services, and dietary operations to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and high-quality nutrition care.

What You'll Do:
Lead and oversee all clinical nutrition services for York General Hospital.
Direct nutrition assessment, diagnosis, care planning, medical nutrition therapy, and outcome evaluation activities.
Develop and maintain clinical nutrition policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, performance monitoring, and survey readiness efforts.
Manage departmental budgeting and financial planning responsibilities.
Serve as the organization's nutrition subject matter expert, providing consultation and education to providers, staff, patients, and community members.
Partner with the Director of Dietary Services to ensure menus, therapeutic diets, and food service operations support clinical nutrition goals.
Develop staff education programs and support competency development.
Participate in organizational committees, strategic initiatives, and accreditation activities.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
Registered Dietitian credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Current Medical Nutrition Therapist licensure in Nebraska.
Minimum of three years of clinical dietitian experience.
Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based nutrition practices.
