Our confidential client is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Operations – Registered Nurse<\/b> to provide strategic oversight of clinical services across multiple hospice locations. This executive leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high -quality patient care while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement throughout the organization.

POSITION OVERVIEW
<\/h1>

The Director of Clinical Operations provides strategic leadership and clinical oversight for multiple hospice locations, ensuring consistent delivery of high -quality patient care while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Working closely with Executive Directors, Directors of Patient Care Services (DPCS), Quality leadership, and the interdisciplinary team, this individual will drive quality initiatives, improve operational performance, mentor clinical leaders, and ensure regulatory readiness across the region.
<\/p>

The Director serves as a key member of the leadership team and plays a vital role in advancing organizational goals through collaboration, education, and continuous process improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
<\/h1>
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of clinical operations across multiple hospice locations.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare Conditions of Participation, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
    <\/li>
  • Monitor clinical performance metrics, documentation quality, patient outcomes, and medical record accuracy.
    <\/li>
  • Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with the Quality Council Committee (QCC) and Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) Chairperson on performance improvement initiatives.
    <\/li>
  • Partner with Executive Directors and Directors of Patient Care Services (DPCS) to strengthen clinical operations and support agency success.
    <\/li>
  • Assist leadership teams in achieving regional and organizational goals and objectives.
    <\/li>
  • Identify operational challenges proactively and develop corrective action plans that improve quality and organizational performance.
    <\/li>
  • Provide education and mentorship to clinical leaders and staff regarding documentation standards, regulatory compliance, EMR utilization, and hospice best practices.
    <\/li>
  • Support survey readiness and ensure agencies remain prepared for state and accreditation surveys.
    <\/li>
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
    <\/li>
  • Promote evidence -based clinical practices that enhance patient outcomes and family satisfaction.
    <\/li>
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to provide leadership support and operational oversight.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE
    <\/h1>

    The successful candidate will possess:
    <\/p>

    • Five or more years of hospice nursing experience.
      <\/li>
    • Previous multi -site hospice leadership experience.
      <\/li>
    • Proven success leading and developing high -performing clinical teams.
      <\/li>
    • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and accreditation standards.
      <\/li>
    • Extensive experience with Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
      <\/li>
    • Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, performance metrics, and ongoing monitoring techniques.
      <\/li>
    • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and relationship -building abilities.
      <\/li>
    • Strong analytical and problem -solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
      <\/li>
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
      <\/li>
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
      <\/li>
    • Flexibility to travel and support multiple hospice locations.
      <\/li><\/ul>

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
      <\/h1>
      • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
        <\/li>
      • Minimum of five (5) years of hospice nursing experience.
        <\/li>
      • Demonstrated leadership experience within hospice clinical operations.
        <\/li>
      • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, Medicare, and accreditation regulations governing hospice care.
        <\/li>
      • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) principles and quality management methodologies.
        <\/li>
      • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EMR systems.
        <\/li>
      • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
        <\/li>
      • Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the assigned region.
        <\/li>
      • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and protecting confidential patient information.
