A growing construction organization is hiring a Director of General Construction Services to lead multi-project operations across commercial and industrial construction. This leadership role oversees project execution, team performance, budgeting, and client relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Project Managers, Superintendents, and construction teams
- Oversee multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage schedules, budgets, staffing, and risk management strategies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and building regulations
- Drive project profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts
- Implement process improvements and strategic growth initiatives
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of construction management experience
- 5+ years of leadership overseeing multiple projects/teams
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or institutional construction
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and project controls
