Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000 base salary + performance bonus

Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a Director of Construction Operations to help lead and scale our Reconstruction Department across our Orlando and Space Coast locations.

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Construction and is responsible for helping lead the day-to-day execution of our reconstruction operations. The current book of business is approximately 70% residential and 30% commercial, with a strategic goal of continuing to grow our commercial reconstruction capabilities.

We are looking for a construction leader who can manage Project Managers, improve production flow, drive accountability, protect gross margin, and help build a high-performing department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Project Managers and Project Coordinators across two locations.

• Drive reconstruction projects from contract through completion, collection, and closeout.

• Lead weekly production and WIP meetings.

• Monitor project status, job costing, gross profit, schedule, and customer issues.

• Identify stalled projects and remove barriers to completion.

• Hold team members accountable to deadlines, budgets, documentation, and company standards.

• Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.

• Improve department processes, SOP compliance, and operational consistency.

• Partner with estimating, mitigation, contents, finance, and business development teams.

• Help grow commercial reconstruction capability while maintaining strong residential execution.

Ideal Candidate

The right candidate has strong construction operations experience and knows how to lead people, manage production, and hold teams accountable.

Preferred qualifications:

• 7+ years of construction, restoration, remodeling, or general contracting experience.

• 3+ years of people leadership experience.

• Experience managing Project Managers, Superintendents, or construction operations teams.

• Strong understanding of scheduling, job costing, subcontractor management, gross margin, and customer communication.

• Commercial construction experience preferred.

• Residential reconstruction, insurance restoration, or remodeling experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple locations, teams, and priorities.

• Comfortable using KPIs, dashboards, and production meetings to drive results.
