This Director Of Controls opportunity is based flexibly within Davis-Standard North America and offers the chance to lead enterprise standards, technical roadmaps, and high-impact troubleshooting across complex machinery.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director Of Controls position include:
- 10+ years of industrial automation, machine controls, or capital equipment experience; 5+ years leading controls engineering teams or technical organizations.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Provide strategic leadership for controls engineering across North American business units.
- Develop enterprise controls engineering standards, best practices, and governance processes.
- Lead standardization of PLC, HMI, motion control, safety, networking, and software architectures.
- Establish long-term automation and controls technology roadmaps and serve as the technical authority.
- Support complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Travel throughout North America approximately 20-25% and collaborate cross-functionally.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
