    Reports To: Vice President, CR Academy

    Location: Atlanta, GA

    Position Summary

    The Director of CR Academy is responsible for executing the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of Construction Resources'' enterprise learning organization.

    This leader oversees all learning programs, curriculum development, training operations, digital learning platforms, certification programs, and field learning initiatives that develop employees across every business unit.

    The Director serves as the operational leader of CR Academy, partnering closely with Vice President of CR Academy and business leaders to build organizational capability, accelerate employee development, improve operational performance, and strengthen the customer experience.

    This role combines strategic leadership with operational execution to ensure learning directly supports company growth, profitability, growth of employees and employee engagement.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Academy Leadership

    • Lead the day-to-day operations of CR Academy.
    • Execute the enterprise learning strategy established by the Vice President CR Academy.
    • Develop annual learning plans aligned with company priorities.
    • Build a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
    • Establish governance and quality standards for all Academy programs.
    • Ensure learning initiatives align with Construction Resources'' mission, values, and strategic objectives.

    Learning Strategy & Curriculum

    Partner with the VP of CR Academy to oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of curriculum across all Academy schools, including:

    • CR Foundations
    • Leadership & Experience
    • Systems & Technology
    • CR Product Institute
    • Production & Installation Excellence

    Responsibilities include:

    • Curriculum architecture
    • Learning pathways
    • Role-based development plans
    • Certification standards
    • Continuing education

    Team Leadership

    Lead and develop the Academy team, including:

    • Learning Systems Administrator(s)
    • Trainers
    • Instructional Designers

    • Field Training Officers

    Learning Technology

    Provide management and oversight for all learning technologies, including the CR App and future learning platforms.

    Content Development

    Ensure the Academy maintains a modern, engaging, and scalable learning library by overseeing development and maintenance of:

    • Playbooks
    • Job aids
    • Microlearning
    • Leadership programs
    • Product education
    • Sales Enablement Resources

    Business Partnership

    Partner with VP of Cr Academy and department leaders to identify organizational capability gaps and create learning solutions that improve business performance.

    Collaborate with leaders across:

    Program Administration

    Oversee Academy operations, including:

    • Annual learning calendar
    • Class scheduling

    • Learning documentation

    Performance Measurement

    Develop and report enterprise learning metrics including:

    • Course completion
    • Certification compliance
    • Training participation
    • Learner satisfaction

    • Time-to-productivity
    • Sales effectiveness
    • Operational performance improvements
    • Leadership development progress
    • ROI of Academy initiatives

    Continuous Improvement

    Lead continuous improvement efforts by:

    • Evaluating program effectiveness
    • Implementing learner feedback
    • Benchmarking industry best practices
    • Introducing innovative learning technologies
    • Improving instructional design
    • Expanding Academy capabilities

    Qualifications

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in organizational development, Human Resources, Education, Business, Leadership, Communications, or related field preferred.

    Experience

    • 7-10 years of progressive Learning & Development or Organizational Development experience
    • 5+ years leading learning teams
    • Experience developing enterprise learning strategy
    • Experience managing Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience Platforms
    • Experience designing leadership development programs
    • Experience building learning programs from the ground up preferred
    • Construction, manufacturing, building products, or distribution experience strongly preferred

    Work Environment

    This job operates within the Company's Academy with travel to all locations as needed.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and travel will be required.

    Employee must hold a valid US work authorization.
