Description of Work
The Director of Data Architecture & Analytics, under the general direction of the HealthWest Chief Information Officer,
implements and supervises data analytics and data reporting services for HealthWest. This employee assesses current HealthWest data analytics and reporting processes, implementing improvements where necessary. The Director of Data Architecture & Analytics supervises technical employees; communicates with HealthWest supervisors, managers and leadership, and regional and state entities to assist in defining data requirements; leads workgroups; provides overall leadership for the Data Analytics department by ensuring all stakeholders have the information needed to monitor and measure performance, improve clinical care and organizational operations, and make strategic, data-driven decisions; and performs related duties and responsibilities as required. A successful Director of Data Architecture & Analytics will possess a blend of technical and business operations skills and experience, clear written and verbal communication skills to communicate technical subjects in an understandable manner, the capacity to problem solve, and the ability to apply continuous improvement practices. The contributions of the Director of Data Architecture and Analytics will support HealthWest's efforts to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement; fulfill the organization's mission of addressing the needs of our community; increase the effectiveness, satisfaction and value of services; measure and improve performance; solve problems; and improve outcomes.
Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business, Research/Evaluation, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related technology and/or data field AND five (5) years of combined work experience in a related field between internship(s) and employment;
Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment.
Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.
Preferred but not Required
Work experience in the health and human services fields preferred.
Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.

EVALUATION CONTENT

PURPOSE
The purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list from which to fill present and future vacancies in this classification in the County system. Benefit Option

Retirement
Defined Contribution (DC) Plan through MERS of Michigan with 3% employer and 4.5% employee contribution. There is a 6 year graduated vesting for the employer contribution.
Retiree Insurance
Healthcare Savings Account (HCSP) through MERS of Michigan, employer 3% contribution. Vesting requirement of 6 years.
Life Insurance and AD & D
Equal to employee annual salary to next highest $1,000. Max $200,000

Sick Leave
10 days per year, accumulated .385 days. per pay period

Annual Leave

COLA/Longevity
