Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.The President & CEO of a growing Affordable Housing Development & Consulting firm in Los Angeles is looking to hire their right hand—someone who can lead project execution and think creatively to build out the organization. This unique role allows you to choose development and consulting projects that align with your interests and values.About the ClientCalifornia‑based Affordable Housing Development and Consulting firm specializing in building and preserving affordable housing through partnerships with developers, public agencies, and community groups. The firm offers full life cycle development services, advisory, strategic planning, and capacity building.Scope of ResponsibilitiesCoordinate acquisition and due diligence, develop feasibility analyses, conduct site assessments, and manage escrow closing and loan disbursement.Formulate and execute strategy for successful applications in response to RFPs.Review and analyze budgets, proformas, financial statements, environmental reports, market studies, appraisals and other third‑party reports to determine feasibility.Coordinate entitlement and land use approval process: supervise consultants, prepare and submit applications, and work with city officials for approvals.Secure financing: prepare loan and grant applications (LIHTC, Tax‑exempt Mortgage Revenue Bond, HOME, AHP and similar programs), work with public agencies and lenders, and direct closing of financing.Interact with equity, title, lender, legal, construction, property management and vendors to ensure timely and efficient closing.Coordinate design with architect to develop program requirements, establish vision, and ensure operational needs are met.Manage construction administration: oversee budget, attend job‑site meetings, and coordinate Owner's Representative.Coordinate transition to operations: work with Property Management on lease‑up, close‑out, and punch‑list.Provide administrative support and performance other duties as needed.Assist in forming limited partnerships and LLCs, obtain resolutions, EIN, and DUNS numbers.Build and implement operational systems, workflows, and tools for early‑stage growth.Create standardized project management templates, checklists, and reporting structures.Establish document control systems for contracts, plans, change orders, and approvals.Support leadership in scaling internal operations with focus on repeatability and efficiency.Provide additional administrative support and duties as requested.Ideal Candidate Profile7+ years experience in Affordable Housing Development and/or Finance.Strong problem‑solving skills and innovative solution orientation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse stakeholders.Experience with federal, California, and local government funding sources and agencies.Demonstrated project management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Understanding of affordable housing complexities and regulatory environment.Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.RecruiterKM Partners – national Executive Search and Professional Recruitment practice focused on high‑growth, impact‑investment‑oriented businesses in Real Estate, Clean Energy, Sustainable Infrastructure, and related services.
