Vivo HealthStaff is searching for a Director of Development to promote and help facility gifts to a healthcare nonprofit in the Bay Area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Director will serve as the lead fundraiser for the major gifts and planned giving programs,
- Oversee the stewardship program and enhance the existing culture of philanthropy.
- Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.
- Work closely with the Finance team to understand budget projections such that the fundraising plan aligns to meeting those needs.
- Develop and nurture ongoing relationships with major donors.
- Develop and execution of special events.
- Personal solicitations, targeted appeals, special events and planned giving.
- Create annual and long-range goals and departmental budget for Philanthropy.
- Develop electronic, print and face-to-face solicitations targeting individuals, businesses and foundations.
- Liaison to development counsel.
- Direct and develop legacy giving activities.
- Oversee the tracking, record keeping, and recognition and stewardship systems.
- Develop the annual fund development budget and financial reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years in fundraising, donor relations, or related field
