Director of Digital Strategy
Hendrix College is seeking a full-time, 12-month Director of Digital Strategy. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Director of Digital Strategy leads the creation and execution of strategic content across all online platforms, ensuring the College's digital presence is compelling, cohesive, and aligned with institutional priorities. This role serves as the architect and driver of digital storytelling, overseeing the planning, coordination, and production of written, visual, and multimedia content that supports enrollment, advancement, and brand visibility.
In addition to leading content strategy and production, this individual serves as the primary manager for the institution's website, ensuring it remains dynamic, user-centered, and enrollment-focused. The Director will also shape and strengthen the College's social media platforms by auditing and repurposing existing content and through the creation of new strategic content designed to maximize engagement and impact.
The Director of Digital Strategy is both visionary and hands-on, a multifaceted creative leader who moves quickly, collaborates deeply, and executes with excellence. Exceptional writing, video, photography, and editing skills are essential, along with the ability to translate broad institutional goals into actionable plans and measurable digital outcomes. The successful candidate is comfortable receiving a strategic objective, determining the best path forward, and independently moving work from concept through execution while proactively communicating progress, questions, and recommendations with appropriate stakeholders.
This position is well suited for a self-directed professional who enjoys building systems, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and helping shape the future of the College's digital strategy. Priorities may shift quickly based on institutional needs, and the successful candidate must be comfortable exercising sound judgment, asking timely questions, adapting to changing circumstances, and moving work forward with minimal day-to-day direction.
