Director of E-CommerceOur client is seeking a highly experienced Director of E-Commerce to lead and scale performance across their Shopify DTC business. This role will own the full end-to-end digital customer experience, with a strong focus on UX/UI, merchandising, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on — someone who has deep expertise operating within Shopify environments and a proven ability to drive measurable growth through site optimization, customer journey improvements, and data‑driven merchandising strategies. This person will serve as the internal subject matter expert for UX, UI, and CRO, leading initiatives that improve conversion, average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (LTV).This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing the e‑commerce function while remaining deeply involved in execution and site performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and optimize the complete Shopify site experience, including UX/UI, merchandising, navigation, and CRO strategyServe as the internal expert on customer journey optimization, conversion-focused design, and Shopify best practicesLead the strategy, development, and ongoing optimization of landing pages, PDPs, PLPs, and digital merchandising experiencesDrive improvements in conversion rate, AOV, and LTV through testing, personalization, bundling, upsell strategies, and site enhancementsDevelop merchandising strategies that improve product discovery, customer engagement, and on-site conversionAnalyze site behavior and performance data using Google Analytics and other reporting tools to identify opportunities and inform decision-makingPartner cross-functionally with CRM, retention, growth, and creative teams to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and on-site experiencesBuild and optimize landing pages for paid media, affiliate, and partner traffic sourcesManage and mentor the e-commerce team while maintaining hands‑on ownership of execution and site updatesEstablish project priorities, timelines, workflows, and quality standards for all site-related initiativesTake full ownership of site performance, proactively identifying issues and driving solutions through completionMaintain a high standard of brand presentation, functionality, and user experience across all digital touchpointsContinuously test and refine layouts, messaging, navigation, and product presentation to improve overall site performanceRequired Qualifications5+ years of e-commerce experience, with a strong emphasis on Shopify DTC businessesProven success managing Shopify for a high-growth DTC or CPG brandStrong proficiency in Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and related e-commerce toolsDeep expertise in UX/UI and conversion rate optimization, with a demonstrated track record of improving site performance metricsHands‑on experience creating or optimizing landing pages, PDPs, PLPs, and merchandising experiencesStrong understanding of customer behavior, conversion strategy, and digital merchandising best practicesExperience within the CPG industry required; experience in supplements, wellness, or natural/organic products strongly preferredPrior experience managing and developing teams while remaining execution-oriented and detail-focusedStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insightsHighly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong ownership mentality with a proactive, results-driven approachCompensation$125,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience.Kalon Executive Search is an equal opportunity employer.
