Job Summary:

The Department of Psychology & Education in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants to serve as the Director of Education Licensure & Accreditation.

We seek a talented individual who is passionate about the preparation of undergraduate pre-service teachers and invested in student success. A master’s degree in Education, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, or a related field requiring statistical or curricular evaluation is required. A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing institutional data collection, quantitative or qualitative data analysis, or coordinating professional accreditation cycles is required.

Candidates with an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in an education-related field, experience directly interfacing with the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE), or a minimum of 3 years’ teaching in a K-12 classroom are encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, technology, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage complex feedback loops and articulate assessment results to diverse academic groups.

 

The successful candidate will teach one course per semester, manage assessment systems, coordinate data collection for continuous program improvement, and lead professional, state, and regional accreditation processes for educator preparation programs. 

• Licensure & Accreditation: Lead the planning, preparation, and submission of self-study reports and degree verification, including comprehensive evidence files and standards alignment, for the State of Ohio (ODHE) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
• Assessment Management: Map curriculum components to ODHE regulations and CAEP standards. Collaborate with program faculty and staff to design, monitor, and refine systematic assessment plans for evaluating student learning outcomes. Construct assessment timelines and deploy evaluation rubrics. Collaborate with the Director of Academic Assessment in the Office of Academic Affairs.
• Data Systems, Analysis & Reporting: Collect, manage, and interpret student learning outcome data. Build and manage systematic feedback loops. Analyze enrollment, retention, and performance metrics to generate actionable assessment briefs for the school director, dean, and provost.
• Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Communicate assessment outcomes clearly and work closely with faculty, staff, university committees, institutional research, and external stakeholders to integrate and streamline assessment and evaluation practices.
