Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Education Operations for a well-established, community-focused nonprofit organization. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the operations of a well-established educational program serving young learners and their families. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across program administration, staff development, financial oversight, enrollment, and daily operations while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment. The ideal candidate is an organized, relationship-focused leader who enjoys mentoring teams, improving processes, and delivering exceptional educational experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership for the overall operations of the early childhood program, including staff supervision, hiring, coaching, evaluations, and professional development.
  • Oversee educational programming, program quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous operational improvement.
  • Manage budgeting, financial administration, enrollment processes, purchasing, and other business operations.
  • Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication, enrollment support, tours, and community engagement.
  • Coordinate daily program logistics, classroom scheduling, facilities, and resources to ensure an exceptional learning environment.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that empowers educators, supports families, and advances the organization's mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field; advanced education is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within an early childhood education, preschool, childcare, or educational setting.
  • Previous classroom teaching experience with a strong understanding of child development and effective learning environments.
  • Experience overseeing staff, budgets, enrollment, and day-to-day program operations while building positive relationships with families.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Excel, and school or student information management systems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This opportunity offers a competitive salary between $75,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, paid time off, and additional employer-sponsored benefits.
