Duties Description Reporting to the Director of Law Enforcement, the Director of Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness directs the agency's emergency management and disaster preparedness functions. Responsibilities include: program planning and evaluation; policy formulation, development and implementation; staff supervision, development and training; and adherence to and implementation of federal and state mandated laws, rules, regulations and reporting requirements. This position functions as a liaison on disaster / emergency management issues with other state agencies (Emergency Management Office, Department of Health, Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services), and at the federal level, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following:
Minimum Qualifications Eleven years of experience in any of the following categories: marketing, contract negotiation or administration, financial administration, budget administration, business administration, or public administration. At least two years of this experience must have been at a managerial level*.
