Know your Right to Work. Job Description We seek a Director of Engineering with a highway or bridge background to join our growing Western NY operations within our Rochester, NY, office. The Director will oversee the WNY Engineering Department, including providing services to key clients for highways, bridges, and facilities outside of Buffalo and Rochester. We work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment on various transportation projects for federal, state, local, and private clients. We want to grow our management team with individuals who possess a strong work ethic and a desire to grow and mentor the next generation. Efforts to be Supported by our Senior Project Managers. Guide Engineering PM's regarding negotiations, scope, schedule, budget, billing and staff resourcing. Directing the engineering team as a technical and project lead for highways which may include the following tasks: Familiarity with the requirements to develop design Plans for roadway projects: including pavement restoration, ADA compliance, Signage and Pavement markings, Multi-use Facilities for Pedestrians/Bicyclists, Work zone traffic control design, complete streets, drainage improvements.
