Position Purpose: The Director of Enrollment Marketing & CRM supports York University''s enrollment goals by connecting recruitment strategy, enrollment communications, CRM technology, marketing, and prospective student engagement.
Working closely with the Vice President for Enrollment, the Director helps create a cohesive and engaging experience for prospective students and families from initial inquiry through enrollment. The position provides leadership for enrollment-focused communication campaigns, CRM workflows and mass messaging, recruitment marketing initiatives, and strategic engagement efforts across undergraduate, online, graduate, and dual enrollment audiences.
The Director also serves as a visible representative of York University, participating in recruitment events, presentations, partnership development, and other opportunities where a strong institutional presence can positively influence enrollment.
Primary Responsibilities
Enrollment CRM & Communications
- Assist in the strategic management and continued development of the University''s enrollment CRM.
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate automated communication workflows for prospective students at various stages of the enrollment funnel.
- Coordinate enrollment mass messaging through email, text, and other communication channels.
- Work with admissions staff to identify communication gaps and opportunities throughout the student recruitment journey.
- Help ensure CRM data, communication plans, and recruitment processes support enrollment goals.
- Evaluate communication engagement and enrollment data to improve recruitment strategies and messaging.
Enrollment Marketing:
- Coordinate enrollment marketing campaigns in partnership with University Marketing and the Vice President for Enrollment.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Enrollment and University Marketing, communicating enrollment priorities, prospective student needs, and recruitment objectives to support coordinated marketing strategies.
- Help develop compelling recruitment messaging that communicates the York University experience, value proposition, and distinctive qualities.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the University''s first impression with prospective students and families.
- Assist with recruitment materials, digital campaigns, event promotion, and other enrollment-focused marketing initiatives.
Graduate, Online & Dual Enrollment Support:
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and communication strategies with graduate program directors and other academic partners.
- Coordinate and support recruitment and enrollment processes for online, graduate, and dual enrollment programs.
- Work with the Associate Dean of Online Studies and program Directors to develop communication and marketing strategies for these populations.
- Identify opportunities to increase awareness, inquiries, applications, and enrollment in these programs.
Recruitment & Enrollment Experience:
- Participate in strategic recruitment events, campus visits, presentations, and other high-impact enrollment activities.
- Serve as a front-facing University representative when additional institutional leadership or expertise can strengthen recruitment efforts.
Enrollment Strategy:
- Work closely with the Vice President for Enrollment to identify enrollment trends, communication needs, recruitment opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Use CRM and enrollment data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and student engagement.
- Help develop strategies to improve inquiry-to-application, application-to-admit, and admit-to-enrollment conversion.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, Financial Aid, Athletics, Academics, Student Success, and other University departments to support institutional enrollment goals.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission of York University
- Master's Degree preferred
- 3 years' experience in Admissions/Recruitment environment
- Proficient with CRM operating systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Adobe Suite-Creative Cloud desired)
- Strong management/leadership abilities
- Experience with developing marketing materials
