The Director of Extended Learning and Extracurricular Programming is responsible for the overall development, organization, operation, and coordination of all K-12 before and after school programming including: after-school care, 21st Century CLC grant programs, clubs, sports and all summer programming including coordination of K-12 summer school.
Education:
Master''s degree in education or related field required.
Certifications:
Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA), Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA), and/or Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA) certification preferred.

Essential Duties:
Provide leadership for successful implementation of after-school programs during the school year and in the summer.
Provide leadership for the successful growth and implementation of strong athletic and activities programming along with the development of impactful feeder programs city-wide.
Provide leadership in efforts to grown community and parent engagement at each school and at the district level.
Serve as the district administrator with school-based child care programs.
Serve as the liaison between the district and DPI regarding 21st Century Community Learning Center grants.
Complete Annual Performance Reports for state and federal grants.
Provide fiscal management, oversight, and budget planning for after school programs funded through district funds including parterships with community organizations.
Provide fiscal management and oversight for summer school.
Facilitate the extended learning program advisory committee to ensure the continuous improvement for extended learning.
Work with a wide range of community partners in developing effective initiatives through collaborative partnerships.
Report on the effectiveness of after-school programs and summer school to the superintendent.
Recruit, interview, and select staff for the programs.
Supervise and evaluate staff in the after-school programs in order to assist in the improvement of performance.
Supervise and evaluate program office staff.
Analyze data to support schools'' continuous improvement and high-quality programming.
Provide leadership for the implementation of RUSD sports and extra curricular activities.
Work in partnership with all district departments and the community to ensure a seamless delivery of support.

Work Environment:
Busy work environment with multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.
Position requires the availability for flexible shifts, additional hours as necessary, and the ability to be on-call.
Frequent travel between district sites is required with occasional out of town travel.
Employees must carry district provided cell phone in the execution of their job duties.
