The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for strategic leadership, oversight, and daily execution of facilities management, maintenance, and life safety programs. This role ensures that all physical structures, mechanical systems, and grounds are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with healthcare regulatory standards. The Director oversees general maintenance, plant operations, and biomedical engineering, serving as a critical leader in maintaining continuous operations.
Experience: Five to ten years progressive experience in supervision and maintenance in installation and construction, as well as maintenance of equipment, utilities and building for a hospital or similar organization preferred.
Job Knowledge: Required workable knowledge of H.V.A.C. systems & boiler maintenance., code requirements for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Willing to learn State of Oregon Fire, Life/Safety Codes for healthcare facilities and OHSA requirements.
Skills: Hand tools, test equipment, power tools, grounds equipment, read blueprints, building plans, technical manuals. Medical equip and safety check experience. Interact with other departments and supervisors.
Hours: M-F 8:00-5:00pm generally with on-call rotation and overtime as required.
