Job Description

Visa is seeking a strong and proactive Finance leader to join the Advisory Services Finance team supporting the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region. Advisory Services is one of Visa’s fastest-growing Value Added Services (VAS) businesses, and this role provides a unique opportunity to closely partner with senior regional leaders to shape and deliver the LAC Advisory growth agenda.

The Director of Finance, Advisory will serve as the primary finance business partner for the LAC Advisory organization, supporting end-to-end financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision-making. This role will lead regional FP\&A activities while working closely with Global Advisory Finance, LAC Sales, Client Services, Strategy & Operations, and Product teams to drive profitable growth and disciplined execution across consulting, managed services, and emerging advisory solutions.

This position requires a strong combination of strategic finance capability, regional business acumen, and executive communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

 Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as the lead Finance business partner to LAC Advisory leadership, providing financial insight and decision support across consulting and managed services portfolios.
  • Partner closely with Global Advisory Finance to align LAC plans with global strategy, financial frameworks, and performance expectations.
  • Support development of multi-year growth strategies for the LAC Advisory business, including volume, revenue, margin, and investment priorities.
  • Provide financial leadership in evaluating new offerings, pricing strategies, client engagements, and go-to-market initiatives within LAC.
  • Elevate the quality of financial storytelling and analytics presented to regional and global senior leadership, translating complex financial outcomes into clear business implications.

Financial Planning & Performance Management

  • Lead core FP\&A activities for LAC Advisory Services, including:
  • Multi-year strategic planning
  • Annual operating plan and budget
  • Quarterly outlooks and business reviews
  • Monthly close, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Deliver driver-based financial analysis on revenue, expenses, margins, and productivity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor performance against targets and actively partner with business leaders on corrective actions to close gaps.
  • Support financial governance around headcount, OPEX, and investment trade-offs to ensure disciplined deployment of resources.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of regional financials across systems and reporting processes.

Commercial & Decision Support

  • Provide financial due diligence and decision support for client deals, including profitability analysis, pricing evaluation, and contract economics.
  • Assess ROI and commercial viability of Advisory engagements, tooling, and scaled programs.
  • Support prioritization of growth initiatives by evaluating financial impact, execution risk, and alignment to regional strategy.
  • Partner with Sales, Client Services, and Strategy & Operations teams to surface upsell, cross-sell, and commercialization opportunities.

Operational Excellence & Transformation

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and analytics across LAC Advisory.
  • Partner with Finance Transformation and Systems teams to improve data quality, automation, and scalability.
  • Establish clear operating cadences and performance metrics to support execution discipline across the region.
  • Proactively identify risks related to revenue realization, cost management, or execution and ensure timely escalation.

People & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop finance talent within the LAC VAS Finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Advisory, Sales, Client Services, and Product teams in a highly matrixed regional environment.
  • Influence without authority and effectively collaborate across geographies, functions, and seniority levels.

This is a hybrid position. Expectationof days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

10–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant experience in FP\&A, business partnering, or strategy within a large, complex organization.

Strong experience supporting senior business leaders and influencing key decisions through financial insight.

Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.

Experience in consulting, professional services, payments, or technology-enabled services strongly preferred.

Prior experience supporting regional or international businesses, ideally within Latin America & Caribbean.

Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, global organization.

Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate analysis into executive-ready insights.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proactive, results-oriented mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems and dashboards a plus.

Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese

The estimated salary range for this position is $145.100,00 to $ 232.200,00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
