The Director of Finance is a key member of the Senior Management team. Their primary role is to assist the Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") with the overall external and internal financial reporting requirements of EDEN and its subsidiaries, maintaining a positive system of internal control and providing leadership and oversight to the fiscal organization, including planning, growth and expense control. The director of Finance provides accounting/finance and internal accounting control support, input and advice to the CFO and other department heads and ensures financial information is prepared and presented in accordance with GAAP and that compliance requirements pertaining to grants and special programs are met.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Not-for-profit experience is preferred. Two years of leadership/managerial experience is required. Knowledge of Yardi enterprise software preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and personnel information systems.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
A valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record and proof of adequate insurance
A license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; talk or hear, in person, in meetings, and by telephone; use hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; use fingers to type; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; and occasionally perform other motions including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. The nature of the work requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of this job's duties are performed at headquarters although the job requires occasional local travel to off-site locations including EDEN's properties and/or meetings. The majority of work is performed in a climate controlled general office environment with minimal to moderate noise. Hours of work may exceed normal business hours during peak periods. Potential job conditions include eyestrain from extensive computer use, moderate noise levels, and interacting with a diverse population of residents having both physical and mental barriers.
