The Director of Finance will report directly to the CEO and will serve as the companys most senior finance leader and a trusted business partner to executive leadership. This individual will play a central role in strengthening financial infrastructure designing processes, implementing best practices, and building the reporting needed to support informed decision-making and future growth. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a build-and-improve environment and is excited about creating structure, enhancing visibility, and supporting a growing professional services organization. Responsibilities for the Director of Finance Include:
Team Leadership & Accounting Operations
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting and finance team
Oversee day-to-day operations across general ledger (GL), accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR), payroll, and financial reporting
Design and implement a highly efficient, accrual-based close process
GAAP Compliance, Controls, & Audit Readiness
Build and formalize U.S. GAAP (ASC 606) revenue recognition policies across all projects and business lines
Establish and refine scalable internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
Transform the firm to an audit-ready state, managing documentation, controls, and schedules, and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and consultants as needed
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead the annual budgeting process with department leaders and maintain ongoing financial projections and forecasts
Improve reporting timelines while enhancing the accuracy, transparency, and reliability of financial data
Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to drive operational decision-making
Executive Reporting & Business Insights
Create and deliver high-impact leadership reporting packages, including KPIs, dashboards, and performance analytics
Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team, translating financial data into strategic guidance and meaningful insights
