ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a Director of Finance for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior on-site leadership role responsible for all aspects of the property's financial operations, reporting directly to the General Manager. The right candidate brings strong hospitality finance expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to partner effectively with both property leadership and ownership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls and accounting procedures in line with GAAP and local legal requirements
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to support effective decision-making across the leadership team
• Lead the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, with actionable recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve hotel profitability and implement process improvements across financial systems
• Manage cash funds, assets, credit and collections policy, and ensure robust controls to protect property assets
• Oversee internal and external audits and coordinate statutory account preparation and filing
• Lead, develop, and evaluate the finance team to ensure professional growth and continuity
• Ensure adequate insurance coverage and compliance with management contract requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum 3 years of senior financial leadership experience in luxury hospitality
• Proven track record in financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP, compliance, and internal controls
• Excellent leadership skills with experience building and mentoring a finance team
• Proficiency in Excel and hospitality financial systems; experience with Opera, Sun, or similar platforms is an advantage
• Must have Caribbean experience
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; Master's degree or MBA preferred
