  • Oversee or coordinate month end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial statement review, and related workpapers.
  • Manage and lead a team of four – AR Specialist, Senior Accountant, Financial Administrative Support team.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of balance sheet and income statement reporting, including revenue, expenses, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, accounts receivable, customer deposits, and other key accounts.
  • Deliver clear financial reporting and insight across multiple operating units, including monthly and quarterly results, key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare, review, and explain variance analysis versus budget, forecast, prior year, and operating expectations.
  • Establish, monitor, and strengthen internal controls, financial safeguards, approval processes, and adherence to company financial policies.
  • Partner with Central Accounting, Corporate Finance, and operating leaders to align operational insight with accurate financial data and consistent reporting practices.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, operating scorecards, and performance reporting for senior leadership and business unit managers.
  • Provide financial modeling and recommendations for fleet and capital investments; pricing and contract decisions; labor and operational structure changes; facilities, technology, and system investments; and M&A evaluation, integration planning, and post-investment performance tracking.
  • Partner with operations leaders to improve margins, productivity, cost discipline, working capital management, and overall financial accountability.
  • Lead or support budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and long range planning for the division.
  • Support capital allocation decisions with ROI, cash flow, leverage, covenant awareness, and disciplined return expectations.
  • Monitor spending against approved budgets, forecasts, capital plans, and management expectations.
  • Provide oversight of cash balances, cash activity, and periodic cash forecasting for the division as needed.
  • Support tax, audit, compliance, and external CPA requests in coordination with Corporate Finance and Accounting.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities in accounting, reporting, close, reconciliations, systems, and operational finance processes.
  • Mentor, develop, and provide oversight to accounting and finance staff supporting the division.
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CFO, DeVivo Companies leadership, and operating managers.

  • Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and ROI evaluation.
  • Experience in asset intensive, multi-location, transportation, dealership, service, parts, fleet, or operationally complex businesses preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders and translate results into practical operating actions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
