Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Finance for a growing, privately held organization experiencing significant expansion and acquisition activity. This is a direct-hire, primarily remote opportunity, with a preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern time zones. The position will require approximately one week of travel per month during the first six months.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of Finance will serve as a key financial leader responsible for strengthening financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and infrastructure as the organization continues to scale. This highly hands-on position will lead the Finance function while partnering closely with Operations, Sales, and executive leadership to improve financial discipline, processes, systems, and decision-making. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, entrepreneurial finance leader who enjoys building scalable processes, navigating change, and balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead day-to-day Finance and Accounting operations while remaining actively involved in month-end close, reporting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis.

• Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, forecasting capabilities, and overall financial discipline to support continued organizational growth.

• Lead, develop, and assess the Finance team while creating scalable systems, processes, and workflows that support an evolving organization.

• Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and executive leadership to support business decisions while balancing growth opportunities with the financial health of the organization.

• Identify opportunities to improve technology, automation, ERP utilization, and financial processes across the organization.

• Support acquisition integration and help establish repeatable financial processes and infrastructure as additional businesses are incorporated into the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated senior-level Finance and Accounting leadership experience with strong knowledge of FP&A, financial reporting, forecasting, cash management, and accounting operations.

• Proven ability to build, improve, and scale Finance teams, systems, processes, and financial infrastructure within a growing or entrepreneurial organization.

• Strong hands-on accounting background with the willingness and ability to work directly within month-end close and other detailed financial functions.

• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or comparable ERP/accounting systems, along with a strong interest in technology, automation, and process improvement.

• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the adaptability to operate successfully in a fast-changing environment; acquisition and integration experience is strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This exciting direct-hire opportunity offers a base salary of $130,000-$150,000, with potential flexibility depending on experience, along with incentive/bonus eligibility. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 4%, approximately 11-12 paid holidays, and approximately 15 days of PTO plus additional paid time off. Company equipment is provided for remote work.
