JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of the organization's finance and shared services functions, including Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology. As the organization's lead financial officer, this role provides strategic financial leadership, oversees operational excellence, and partners with the Executive Team and Board to support organizational growth, sustainability, and mission impact. This position balances high-level strategy with hands-on leadership, ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance, and continuous improvement across all functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide oversight of shared service functions, including:
Accounting (Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, etc.)
Finance/Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) (FP&A Manager, Analysts )
Human Resources (HR Senior, HR Generalist, Payroll roles)
Information Technology
Ensure alignment, efficiency, and service excellence across all functions
Foster cross-functional collaboration and integrated service delivery
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
Contracts, Negotiations & Risk Management
Investments & Capital Planning
Operational Excellence & Special Projects
Leadership & Team Development
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time, in-person preferred, position based in Anchorage, AK. Remote work possible with Executive approval. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or hours vary with location. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
