Director of Finance, Supply Chain

About the Team

The Supply Chain Finance team serves as a key strategic partner to the Supply Chain organization, shaping capital allocation decisions across the full lifecycle of our server infrastructure. The team provides financial insight and decision support for investments in GPUs, CPUs, storage and networking hardware, as well as the associated logistics, warranties and circularity programs. By connecting supply-chain strategy with financial outcomes, the team helps leaders balance capacity, cost, speed, risk and return ensuring capital is deployed efficiently while supporting the company’s growth and infrastructure needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis process for the supply chain and technical design organizations, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Tech Design:  Partner with engineering teams to optimize financial considerations regarding the design of upcoming compute and networking hardware
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering leadership to develop and implement strategies that support business objectives and enhance financial performance.
• Hardware Costing: Align with supply chain, product, and hardware engineering on all infrastructure rate cards and support all future infrastructure BOM costing.
• Cost Optimization:  Partner with DC, Infrastructure, and supply chain leadership to optimize hardware cost and set savings targets across the portfolio.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including product, capacity planning, and sales, to support overall business goals.

Qualifications:
Bullet of technical and measurable requirements of the role 

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field

• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or operations finance. 
• Meaningful experience supporting supply chain, infrastructure, hardware, manufacturing or other capital-intensive operations. 
• Demonstrated people leadership, including building and developing high-performing teams. 
• Extensive experience with financial modeling tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau)
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, ambiguous and highly matrixed environment. 
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Preferred Skills:
Bullet of “nice to have” skillsets - tyhis should not be required 

• MBA, CPA, CMA or another relevant advanced qualification. 
• Infrastructure, cloud, data-center, semiconductor, hardware or AI-compute experience. 
• Vendor economics, contract evaluation and strategic sourcing. 
• Infrastructure capacity planning and capital allocation
• Experience building new finance processes and reporting infrastructure in a high-growth organization. 
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

The base salary range for this role is $182,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
