Responsibilities:

• Manage AP and AR functions for main company and sister operation
• Lead AP as the primary focus (higher volume and complexity than AR)
• Oversee payment processing, reconciliation, and distributor/vendor communications
• Participate in weekly cross-functional meetings to discuss cash flow needs, risks, and optimization opportunities
• Directly manage and develop lean team of AP/AR specialists
• Build team cohesion and a collaborative culture
• Coach and mentor staff to improve skills and performance
• Be hands-on—roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team, not just delegate
• Evaluate current AP system integration with SAP (identify gaps, recommend improvements)
• Participate in SAP upgrade testing and enhancement roll-outs
• Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize cash flow and efficiency
• Build strong working relationships with department heads and finance stakeholders
• Communicate proactively about AP/AR needs, risks, and timelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years in AP/AR; AP experience is a priority
• Experience managing a team
• Exposure to SAP or willingness to quickly learn new systems
• Track record of meeting deadlines and following through on commitments

• Strong communicator who builds relationships across departments
• People developer—passionate about coaching and growing your team
• Hands-on problem-solver willing to do tactical work, not just strategic oversight
• Technical aptitude; comfortable learning new systems and processes
• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

What Won't Work

• Someone too senior to roll up their sleeves
• Micromanagers or command-and-control leadership style
• AR-only or accounting-heavy background (AP focus needed)
