Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees District governance, policy administration, Public Records Act compliance, legal services coordination, Board governance support, charter school review processes, and District compliance systems. Serves as the District's central resource for governance, legal operations, policy implementation, records compliance, and risk mitigation. Coordinates activities among departments, legal counsel, and executive leadership to ensure consistent, efficient, and legally compliant District operations.

Requirements / Qualifications

In addition, applicants are required by law to complete the Mandatory Employment Disclosure by listing all previous Local Education Agency (LEA) employment, including school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, and state special schools. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Education, Law, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field. • Five (5) years increasingly responsible administrative experience involving governance, compliance, public administration, legal operations, policy administration, labor relations, human resources, risk management, or related fields. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in a California public school district, county office of education, community college district, or public agency. • Experience working with Board governance, Brown Act compliance, Public Records Act requests, policy administration, or legal services coordination. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Valid California driver s license.
