Description
Director of Hardware Engineering (Electrical & Embedded Systems)
A growing technology manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Director of Electrical & Embedded Hardware Engineering to lead the design and development of advanced embedded hardware systems used in medical, defense, enterprise, and professional AV applications.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of electrical and embedded hardware engineers.
Oversee hardware development from concept through production.
Drive electrical architecture, schematic design, PCB reviews, and system validation.
Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Manage engineering schedules, technical reviews, and project execution.
Improve engineering processes, product quality, and development efficiency.
Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in product development and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of embedded hardware/electrical engineering experience.
3+ years leading engineering teams.
Strong experience with embedded systems, mixed-signal circuit design, PCB development, and FPGA/microcontroller technologies.
Experience in regulated industries such as medical, aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing is highly preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Please Note: This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Torrance, CA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available. This is an on-site position, and relocation assistance is not provided. Preference will be given to local candidates.
