    Director of Hillpointe Helps

    The Director of Hillpointe Helps will serve as the steward of Hillpointe's charitable giving and community impact initiatives. This individual will lead the organization's philanthropic strategy while serving as the primary point of contact for residents and team members seeking assistance through Hillpointe Helps.

    This role requires equal parts empathy and execution. The ideal candidate is someone who can compassionately engage with individuals during difficult circumstances while simultaneously managing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, developing long-term strategies, and ensuring resources are deployed responsibly and effectively.

    As Chair of the Hillpointe Helps Committee, this individual will guide the organization's philanthropic vision, facilitate quarterly committee meetings, evaluate requests for assistance, oversee community engagement initiatives, and ensure every Hillpointe Helps effort reflects the company's values and commitment to making a meaningful difference.
     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership
      • Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for Hillpointe Helps.
      • Identify opportunities to expand the organization's charitable impact across Hillpointe communities.
      • Establish annual goals, key initiatives, budgets, and measurable success metrics.
      • Build scalable programs that support both immediate assistance and long-term community partnerships.
      • Present program updates and recommendations to executive leadership.

    • Hillpointe Helps Committee Leadership
      • Serve as Chair of the Hillpointe Helps Committee.
      • Organize and facilitate quarterly committee meetings.
      • Lead discussions regarding funding requests, beneficiary selection, volunteer opportunities, and charitable initiatives.
      • Coordinate committee members across departments to ensure alignment and accountability.
      • Document decisions, action items, and program outcomes.

    • Beneficiary & Community Engagement
      • Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance through Hillpointe Helps.
      • Compassionately engage with potential beneficiaries to understand their circumstances and identify appropriate resources.
      • Review applications, nominations, and requests for assistance.
      • Coordinate interviews, gather supporting documentation, and present recommendations to the committee.
      • Build trusted relationships with residents and team members alike.

    • Program & Project Management
      • Lead the planning and execution of Hillpointe Helps initiatives from concept through completion.
      • Manage multiple charitable projects simultaneously across multiple states and communities.
      • Develop project timelines, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure successful execution.
      • Track budgets and ensure responsible stewardship of charitable funds.

    • Internal Communications & Case Management
      • Serve as the primary recipient of internal nominations, applications, and community assistance requests.
      • Manage confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
      • Coordinate internal communications related to Hillpointe Helps initiatives.
      • Maintain organized records of applications, approvals, project status, and program outcomes.
      • Ensure timely communication with applicants, committee members, and leadership throughout the review process.

    • Reporting & Program Evaluation
      • Measure and report on program performance using meaningful impact metrics.
      • Track volunteer participation, charitable contributions, beneficiary outcomes, and community engagement.
      • Prepare quarterly and annual impact reports highlighting program achievements and future opportunities.
      • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and expand community reach.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Required
      • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, Social Work, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
      • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit leadership, corporate social responsibility, community engagement, philanthropy, or project management.
      • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
      • Strong project management and organizational skills.
      • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to manage highly confidential and emotionally sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
      • Experience facilitating meetings and leading committees.
      • Ability to travel periodically to Hillpointe communities

    • Preferred
      • Experience managing charitable giving programs or corporate foundations.
      • Volunteer management experience.
      • Grantmaking or nonprofit board experience.
      • Familiarity with affordable housing, multifamily housing, or community development.
      • Experience measuring social impact and program outcomes.
