Summa Rehab Hospital in Akron, Ohio (a partnership with Summa Health) is a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility dedicated to helping patients overcome disabling injuries and illnesses. We specialize in intensive rehab for stroke recovery, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and other complex conditions. Our compassionate, multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy in a supportive, healing environment. We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in HR Management role required.
  • HR Certification preferred.
  • OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to mentor and supervise staff
  • Ability to negotiate contribution agreement and contracts

 

Responsibilities:

The Director of Human Resources is the primary individual responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function at the hospital.  Uses his or her expertise and training in Human Resources functions to put in place and manage the implementation of all necessary Human Resources policies and protocols necessary for successful operation of the hospital. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
