Position Summary
At Home Auto Glass is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources and Payroll to lead all HR, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee administration functions for our growing multi-state workforce of approximately 700 employees. This position oversees HR operations, payroll administration, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, benefits, recruiting support, and a team of domestic and international staff.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys improving processes while supporting employees and management.
Responsibilities
Human Resources
·Lead all day-to-day HR operations and employee administration
·Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
·Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions
·Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
·Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation
Payroll & Benefits
·Oversee multi-state payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now
·Ensure accurate processing of wages, commissions, bonuses, PTO, garnishments, and payroll deductions
·Manage employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans
·Coordinate benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and annual audits
·Review payroll reporting, tax filings, W-2s, and unemployment compliance
Talent & Employee Lifecycle
·Oversee onboarding and offboarding for all employees
·Ensure timely completion of background checks, I-9s, E-Verify, and new hire documentation
·Support recruiting efforts, job postings, candidate tracking, and hiring coordination
Leadership & Compliance
·Supervise HR, payroll, recruiting, and onboarding staff, including remote international team members
·Maintain compliance with FLSA, EEOC, OSHA, ACA, HIPAA, and applicable state labor laws
·Support internal audits and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and automation
·Generate HR metrics and reports to support executive leadership
Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
·5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
·Experience managing multi-state payroll and HR compliance
·Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now required
·Experience supervising HR and payroll teams
·Knowledge of payroll tax reporting, unemployment, benefits administration, and employment law
·Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
