    Position Summary

    The Human Resources Director functions in the role of a Human Resource Generalist and leads the day to day functions of the Human Resources Department. This position reports directly to the Vice President for Administration.

    Reports to: Vice-President of Administration

    Education Required

    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and or one to two years related experience and/or training.

    Duties

    • Prepares and completes a faculty and staff exempt monthly payroll and assists with biweekly non-exempt full-time and part-time payrolls.
    • Oversees tax payments and filings.
    • Completes compensation surveys as requested and the Human Resources IPEDS and IPAD.
    • Compiles employee census for the production of 1095 forms and processes the 720 IRS form to pay the PCORI fee.
    • Administers Flexible Medical Reimbursement Accounts with a third party administrator.
    • Assists employees at hire and termination in completing the necessary paperwork;
    • I-9's, insurance forms, COBRA forms, benefit forms, unemployment forms, and termination forms, etc.
    • Administers COBRA to a third part administrator.
    • Answers questions regarding Bryan College group benefits which include the retirement plan, life, medical, disability, vision, and dental insurance.
    • Checks and completes all paperwork regarding insurance bills to ensure accuracy
    • Compiles employees' census for insurance renewal.
    • Coordinate with the Health Insurance Broker.
    • Makes recommendations on health insurance products and plans.
    • Oversees 1096 reports, W-2s, and W-3s annually.
    • Ensures the college's compliance as related to all Human Resources policies and procedures such as personnel records, benefits, wage and salary administration, training, employee and labor relations, and recruiting as often as needed.
    • Assists in the Financial Audit Process.
    • Supervises the recording of all exempt and nonexempt vacation, sick, personal leave time, and wellness time.
    • Handles correspondence with regard to requests for employment.
    • Maintains files in the Office of Human Resources: personnel, benefits and other miscellaneous files.
    • Handles Title VII issues
    • Prepares the 5500 for the Bryan College Benefit Plans and assist in the audit of the 5500 for the Bryan College Retirement plan
    • Compiles census for the Bryan College Retirement Plan.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Supervises the Human Resources Specialist.
