We are partnering with a well-established, multi-site retail pharmacy organization seeking a Director of Human Resources to serve as a key leader and right-hand partner to the Head of Human Resources.

This is a highly hands-on, employee relations–driven leadership role supporting a large retail footprint with frequent field interaction and complex people-related matters.

What You’ll Do

This role is heavily focused on Employee Relations and workplace investigations, including:
  • Leading and guiding complex employee investigations and recommending appropriate outcomes
  • Acting as a primary advisor to field and store leadership on “in-the-moment”employee relations issues
  • Conducting and documenting investigations, including disciplinary recommendations
  • Preparing and reviewing EEOC and state agency Position Statements (EEOC/OCRC)
  • Responding to agency inquiries and supporting OSHA-related matters as needed
  • Occasional on-site visits to store locations for serious or escalated employee issues
  • Supporting policy development, compliance, and HR best practices across multi-site operations
  • Contributing to benefits strategy discussions, including plan design analysis and recommendations to leadership

Ideal Background
  • Progressive HR leadership experience with a strong Employee Relations focus
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex workplace investigations
  • Experience preparing EEOC/OCRC Position Statements and managing agency responses
  • Multi-site or retail/field-based HR experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to benefits plan design and HR compliance initiatives
  • Strong judgment, consulting ability, and comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Ability to operate both strategically and “in the weeds”when needed
