JOB OVERVIEW

The Director of Human Resources is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources functions. This role serves as a key member of the Leadership Team, partnering closely with leaders to support business objectives while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance workplace culture. 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth by working in consultative capacity with other leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Hire, train, and develop subordinate staff; Support a culture of accountability through effective performance management; Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with Company policies and procedures. 
  • Apply data and HR metrics to identify trends, diagnose organizational issues, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Initiate and direct strategic HR projects and lead cross-functional projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and support growth.
  • Guarantee adherence with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement through effective talent management and development programs.
  • Lead and manage the annual HR processes for assigned functional areas, including performance management, health and financial benefits, and compensation cycles.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, such as affirmative action/EEO, OSHA, compensation, staffing levels, and recruitment tracking.
  • Act as lead contact in complaint resolution process and primary executive responsible for employee investigations.
  • Manage related budgets and expenses effectively; provide recommendations and implement solutions to problems.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the business and market to influence effectiveness and provide insight to leadership.
  • Establish credibility and build trusting relationships with executives, leaders, and colleagues.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor. 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or other related field. 
  • PHR, SHRM-CP preferred.
Experience: 
  • 3+ years of general human resources experience is required.
  • 3+ years of Manager/Director of HR experience is preferred.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability both directly and indirectly. 
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis. 
  • Independent and a self-motivator with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Continued demonstration of confidentiality and discretion concerning personnel data, financial data, and proprietary information. 
  • Team oriented; ability to collaborate, coordinate, and be flexible. 
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships – up, down and across the organization – in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and HRIS Platforms (Paycor).

Compensation Starting Range: $100,000 - $115,000/year
