Job Details

This is a highly visible leadership position for someone who enjoys combining strategic HR partnership with hands-on involvement. The Director will oversee an experienced HR team and work closely with executive and operational leaders across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong California employment-law knowledge, sound judgment, and experience supporting both corporatelessorporate and field-based employees. Prior experience within property management, real estate, or another multi-site industry is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive human resources experience, including experience leading an HR department or function
• Previous experience managing and developing HR professionals
• Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance
• Demonstrated experience handling complex employee-relations matters and workplace investigations
• Experience supporting a multi-location workforce with both corporate and field-based employees
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable with hands-on HR responsibilities
• Strong judgment, discretion, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build credibility and provide thoughtful, confident guidance to senior leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus
• Property management, real estate, hospitality, facilities services, or another multi-site and operationally focused industry
• Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations
• Familiarity with onsite employee arrangements and location-specific employment practices
• Experience with Paylocity or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform
