What you will lead at Oribi
- Strategic operations: Develop and execute the roadmap to run and scale the Industrial & Specialty Products value stream at Oribi while managing daily production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
- Safety and compliance: Drive a zero-incident culture and meet OSHA, FDA, and environmental requirements.
- People and culture: Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team across production, quality, supply chain, and engineering.
- Lean excellence: Apply Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, SMED, and 5S to remove waste and improve flow.
- Performance management: Improve OEE, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency via Basic Problem Solving and Root Cause/Countermeasure.
- Financial stewardship: Own the value stream P&L and budget, reducing cost while managing labor, overhead, and operating expenses.
- Scheduling and materials: Direct production scheduling and material forecasting for availability, optimal inventory, and reliable delivery.
- Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Sourcing/Supply Chain, Technical, Quality, and Commercial teams to align capabilities with customer needs and market shifts.
- Process optimization: Enhance existing processes, automation, and quality control systems for high-yield, cost-efficient output.
- Technology scouting: Stay ahead of emerging machining technologies to keep the value stream competitive.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years machine shop management; composites experience is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within a sophisticated manufacturing environment.
- Background managing high-mix, low-volume operations and/or diverse product portfolios preferred.
- Deep understanding of machining manufacturing.
- Hands-on Lean production experience.
- Proven leadership, team-building, and talent development capability.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001.
