The Information Technology Manager will provide strategic oversight and tactical excellence for Card-Monroe computer systems and user experience including policy and process. This role focuses on corporate business systems and projects related to manufacturing processes and systems integration. Scope includes all internal and external infrastructure including network, hardware, as well as software applications. The I.T. Manager will participate on improvement teams and continuous improvement projects to support the forward movement of continuous improvements involving technology. The I.T. Manager will directly supervise all I.T. staff and oversee their development. The I.T. Manager will also foster a collaborative environment and ensure positive user experiences. |
Job Description |
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities · Responsible for companywide computer system and components including hardware, network, firewall, switches, and software applications. · Develops and executes information technology policies and strategies in line with corporate mission, values, and strategic directions. · Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments. · Verifies system and application results by conducting audits of technologies implemented. · Preserves assets by implementing and testing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures. · Balances utilization of external and internal technical resources to optimize cost and provide efficient and useable systems. · Manages and develops staff including technical skills development, coaching, performance appraisals, and corrective discipline as needed. · Develops personal growth opportunities for self and staff. · Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. · Maintains a safe and secure work environment. · Ensure software applications are fully functional and performing as required. · Collaborate with all employees to determine software portfolio needs and requirements. · Enhance existing systems by working with users to evaluate and implement improvements. · Support application upgrades and provide future directions and requirements. · Perform and support integration of various software systems utilized within the company. · Ensure integrity of backups and secure data according to established procedures. · Train users on functionality of specified applications. · Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding application issues and status of resolution. · Field incoming problem tickets to resolve application and software issues. · Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to business applications, data, queries, reports, and related applications. · Collaborate with vendors and technical support as needed to resolve issues. · Test software upgrades and/or new software to determine compatibility and functionality requirements. · Set-up and configure hardware (i.e. laptops, phones, video conferencing equipment, etc.). · Oversee response and remediate incoming helpdesk requests. · Assist in performing hardware and software installation and maintenance procedures. · Work outside of regularly scheduled hours for maintenance and emergency purposes. · Work offsite and/or remote as necessary to complete maintenance and other tasks. · Other tasks and projects as necessary and/or directed. Qualifications and Education Requirements · Bachelor's degree in applicable field of study · Five plus years of experience with similar duties · Knowledge of contemporary infrastructure and security protocols and techniques · Experience or knowledge of SQL and C# (or other OOP languages) · Experience with Windows/Office Software · Preferred experience with the following platforms: o ERP Epicor or similar o CRM Salesforce or similar o Office 365 o Active Directory o Creo/Windchill (or other PDM/PLM solution) Physical Requirements · Light lifting, standing, and walking throughout the plant and office. · Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor, calculator, and other office equipment. · Requires the ability to communicate written and verbally, both in person and using modern technology. · Time split between the office and the shop floor. · Average office and manufacturing shop noise levels. · Safety shoes and eye protection. · Must be able to lift fifty pounds and transport short distances. |
