WVU Potomac State College (Keyser) is currently accepting applications for a Director of Information Technology Services.
About the Opportunity
The Director of Information Technology Services leads the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department for the Potomac State College campus. The Director provides advanced knowledge and direction in project oversight in research, design and development of complex information technology projects critical to the mission of administrative and academic areas and provides general assistance to management professional technologists in support of IT project proposals, presentations and budgets.
The Director works with WVU Main Campus ITS and independently to ensure that all IT functions on the WVU Potomac State College campus operate and run smoothly as possible and that all WVU ITS security policies and procedures are known and followed.

What You'll Do
- Lead others and/or provide expertise in project management for high-level University network, system, application, and/or ongoing technical projects. Supervise the WVU PSC IT staff and IT student workers on the WVU PSC campus
- Serve as the liaison between WVU PSC and WVU ITS. Serve as the PSC representative on information technology related projects as needed
- Independently and/or as part of a team, plan, coordinate, conduct and implement a wide variety of complex systems analyses, including databases, applications, systems, and Zoom
- Oversee telephone administration, CBord administration, Intune, Azure, and networking support activities as necessary to maintain information technology systems, processes, and projects
- Maintain currency in advancements in information technology and enhance existing skills
Follow policies, processes, procedures and associated documentation in compliance with development and cybersecurity standards, federal and university privacy, confidentiality, and cybersecurity guidelines relative to securing personal information (PII) (generated, stored and/or transmitted electronically) maintained in supported systems. IT Security - Cybersecurity, IT policies and standards - Prepare technical documentation, including interpretation of business rules, flow charts, logic diagrams, and code, according to industry documentation standards
- Develop, implement and maintain University infrastructure systems and equipment
- Develop and maintain detailed records and documentation, including maintenance, error, repair and records, development, implementation, and performance standards and rules, system cost estimates and analysis, equipment and software maintenance contracts, etc.
- Maintain IT asset life-cycle management. Participate in strategic planning
- Individually and/or as part of a team, plan and develop the methodology for completing assignments, resolve all conflicts which arise, and coordinate with other professional technologists as needed
- Serve as the Data Center Coordinator
- Provide technical training as necessary for the employees and students on the Potomac State College campus
- Other duties as assigned
