Job Title: Director of Investor Relations.

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Department: Tomorrow 

Reports To: Yuping Huang

Responsibilities

 Internal Investor Relations will work to ensure the company is appropriately and

strategically positioned with analysts, investors, and all stakeholders. This position

supports the CEO and CFO in crafting the company’s IR narrative regarding financial

results and strategic initiatives and communicating this narrative to external

stakeholders, as well as partners closely with the Marketing & Communications teams

to dovetail with the overall QCi digital marketing strategy. This role will also support

various analyses and serve as an analytical and strategic business partner throughout

the organization.  

This role will report to CEO, while working closely with CFO and Director of Marketing

and Communications.

Duties

Manage external IR resources

IR Team’s key initiative to clearly articulate QCi’s priorities, goals, strategic plans,

roadmap, investment, capital allocation, and financial performance to all key

stakeholders.  

Work with the leadership team to refine and implement the company’s overall IR

strategy, including creation/modification of QCi’s financial communications

narrative, external and internal messaging, scheduling of events

(i.e. conferences, NDRs, analyst/investor days), ensuring all communications are

integrated and consistent.  

Assist in the development of investor communications, including press releases,

presentations, and conference call scripts. Collaborate with the Accounting &

Finance and Legal teams on SEC filings, including quarterly and annual reports.  

Ensure consistency and alignment of the company’s messaging and

participation on quarterly earnings calls, investment conference calls and

meetings, roadshows, analyst days, one-on-one meetings, and other speaking

venues.  

Prepare analyst/investor Q&A documents that address key financial, business,

and competitive topics.

Coordinate with the internal Marketing & Communications team, as well as

external public relations and communications professionals, to support efficient

and effective dissemination of QCi’s strategy and message.  

Develop investor messaging/marketing communication in alignment with QCi’s

business model and strategy. Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance teams

to derive financial analyses related to framing the company’s financial metrics for

the purpose of communicating with analysts/investors.  

Serve as an interface and develop deep working relationships with both sell-side

analysts and buy-side investors, and drive appropriate interaction and

communication with all existing and potential stakeholders.  

Provide external audiences with an accurate and timely view of QCi’s

performance and prospects, which will be executed through shareholder

meetings, regular and ad-hoc meetings, conference calls with analysts/investors,

website content and other electronic means, and other telephone and personal

contacts.  

Liaise with senior leadership and other business managers to direct the

positioning of the company’s financial reporting messages, including the annual

report, quarterly filings, and other shareholder materials.  

Present and articulate the analyst/investor point of view to senior leadership,

and make recommendations for communications and strategy as necessary

and appropriate.  

Actively monitor announcements from peers and key partners to analyze and

highlight financial results, forecasts, competitive trends, and latest dynamics

within the Quantum, Photonics, Semiconductor industries.  

Gather intelligence and information about the broader marketplace to inform and

educate QCi’s senior leadership regarding the near-term and long-term dynamics

of the capital markets, providing insight on the potential impact of market forces

on the company’s business.  

Measure the effectiveness of the company’s IR program through the quality and

accuracy of external analyst research and earnings estimates, trends of analyst

coverage, trends of institutional ownership, and value relative to industry peers

and the market overall.  

Qualifications

Master’s Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant

fields

Depth of experience in Sellside/buyside Equity Research and relationship with

equity capital markets teams at investment banks

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Strong modeling and financial analysis skills, including forecasting and valuation  

Significant attention to detail

Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to

detail  

Experience in quantum, photonics, semi industries is a bonus
