Director of IT & AI Innovation

DIRECTOR OF IT & AI INNOVATION(Permanent)
Our client, local manufacturer in WNY, is seeking a Director of IT & AI Innovation to join their team.  This is a great opportunity for someone who understands AI development and implementation for a global organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily IT operations/support across multiple locations globally while managing enterprise-level projects, maintaining network security, etc.
  
• Champion internal AI activities, acting as the subject matter expert, leading initiatives beyond concept through design, build, and implementation
  
• Test and troubleshoot AI tools for effectiveness to ensure they are increasing commercial sales velocity, accelerating engineering workflows, and increasing efficiency within marketing & finance
  
• Oversee and mentor IT team members, providing guidance, leadership, and training to ensure top quality support is provided at all times
  
• Act as an owner of the ERP system processes (Odoo)—both functional and technical—to ensure effective operations across all departments
  
• Research, present, and implement critical AI tools that will automate processes, enhance decision-making, and improve commercial strategies
  
• Audit IT processes/systems and execute critical projects to refresh software/hardware, aid with expansions, cloud migrations, etc.
  
• Develop productive relationships with key vendors for global ISPs & hardware/software providers, negotiating contracts and pricing to maximize ROI
  
• Translate complex IT/AI capabilities into tools to improve operations, sales, finance, engineering, etc.
  
• Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full-time, direct hire
  
• 100% In-office
  
• $150,000 - $190,000 annually depending on experience
  
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related
  
• 5+ years’ experience in IT; manufacturing or engineered products setting is preferred
  
• 1-3 years' experience in a leadership role
  
• Highly confidential
  
• Expert computer skills: Odoo, Windows/Linux, AWS/Azure cloud systems, network security, etc.
  
• Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  
• Strong organization skills and time management skills
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Self-motivated
  
• Relocation not available
