Director of Laboratory

Position Overview: Tap Healthcare is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Laboratory Services to lead a high-volume, high-complexity clinical laboratory in Sanford, Florida. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a professional with a proven track record in operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and team development within hospital-based or reference laboratory environments.

The Director will oversee all aspects of laboratory operations, including quality assurance, personnel management, process improvement, and budget oversight, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and cost-effective diagnostic services that support outstanding patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific field.

• Minimum eight years of laboratory management experience in a high-complexity, high-volume testing environment.

• Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Medical Technologist registry (ASCP, NCA, AAB, or equivalent) required.

• Minimum Education: Associates Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Business Administration or relevant scientific discipline.

• Florida Supervisor License preferred.

• Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in laboratory operations or hospital administration.

• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission standards.
