The Director of Marketing and Communications provides strategic leadership for the Student Affairs Marketing and Communications unit, overseeing the delivery of centralized marketing and communications services and strategy for the departments in the Division of Student Affairs

Required Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field
Four (4) years of full-time or part-time equivalent professional, progressive experience in marketing, publications, communications, and/or related field
Three (3) years of supervisory experience
Demonstrated leadership, planning, and managerial skills
Demonstrated experience developing, organization, and implementing marketing and communication plans, including media relations and communications, web site development, social media, print publications, and promotional events
Demonstrated competency with managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate and facilitate programs independently and with limited supervision
Demonstrated ability to communicate proficiently, with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to build relationships within the department, across campus, and in the community to promote services, programs, and events
11.Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, general knowledge of website software, and general knowledge of graphic design standards for print and media
Preferred Qualifications
Master''s degree
Demonstrated success with analyzing and resolving conflict, promoting team building, and navigating group dynamics with both internal and external parties
Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and assessment at a department level
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and project-oriented, think strategically, and maintain strong attention to detail
Knowledge of current and emerging marketing technologies and familiarity with best practices in marketing trends
Work Hours
General office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30 pm. Occasional evening/weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
Effectively communicate on a daily basis
